About Rosa Nobarani
Rosa Nobarani (Rosa Maghsoodi Nobarani) is an Australian immigration lawyer, founder of Resettlement Australia, and Principal Solicitor of Zest Legal.
Rosa established Resettlement Australia as the pro bono initiative of Zest Legal, reflecting her longstanding commitment to access to justice, refugee protection, and supporting vulnerable migrants and displaced persons.
Throughout her career, Rosa has been inspired by the lawyers, advocates and community organisations who have dedicated themselves to protecting the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and individuals affected by conflict, persecution and human rights abuses. Their work reinforced her belief that the law can be a powerful tool for dignity, protection and social justice.
Through Resettlement Australia, Rosa seeks to contribute to a more compassionate and accessible migration system by supporting refugees, vulnerable migrants and families facing significant barriers to accessing legal assistance. She is particularly passionate about family reunification, humanitarian migration, refugee protection and ensuring that those most in need have the opportunity to be heard.
Rosa believes that access to justice and migration law are ultimately about people. Behind every migration journey is a human story deserving of dignity, fairness and the opportunity to build a better future.
